Adam,
I just got off the phone with your mom (I think it was your mom)- anyway-strange coincidence, I did nearly the same rourt you are taking about 25 years ago with a couple of buddies. We did the same Seattle through Cascades and Glacier (fantastic place), Cut Bank, Minot ect... route, although we did not dip down into Iowa.
I have saved your AKSCrossing site and will be looking for updates as they come through.
I did also do a Boston to Iowa trip on my own one year prior.
